Privacy policy
Last updated 2026-09-14. This is written to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, write to info@kidsartcorner.ca and we will explain it.
Who runs this site
Kids Art Corner is a small, non-commercial project operated from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Because it is Canadian, it is governed by PIPEDA, Canada's federal private-sector privacy law. Questions, complaints and removal requests all go to info@kidsartcorner.ca.
What we collect when you just visit
Nothing that we ask for, and nothing we store ourselves. The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, has no advertising, and embeds nothing from social networks. There is no account to create and no login.
What our host and our fonts can see
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like every web host, Cloudflare receives the IP address and browser details of each request in order to deliver the page and to block attacks. We do not have access to a log of who visited. Separately, the page loads its typefaces and icons from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google and Google receives your IP address. We are working on serving those files ourselves so that stops happening.
What we collect when you send us artwork
Submissions arrive by email, so we receive whatever your email includes: your email address, the child's first name, their age, the medium, a title, and the photograph itself. That email sits in our mailbox. We do not have a database, a mailing list, or a customer record system.
What we publish
Only four things appear on the site: the child's first name, their age, the medium they used, and the artwork. We never publish your email address, a surname, a school, a town, or anything else that could identify a child. If a photograph accidentally includes something identifying, we crop it out or we do not use it.
Children
This site is made for children aged 4 to 12, but children cannot use it to give us anything. There are no accounts, no uploads, no comments and no messaging. Every submission comes from an adult who confirms they are the child's parent, guardian or teacher. If you believe we hold something about a child that an adult did not send us, tell us and we will delete it.
Taking things down
Ask, and it comes down. Email us and we will remove the artwork from the site, usually the same day we read the message. We will also delete the original email and photograph from our mailbox if you want us to — say so in your request. No reason is needed and we will not ask for one.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade or share anything with anybody. There are no third parties involved beyond our web host and our email provider, both of which are processing data on our behalf in order to run the site and the mailbox.
Changes to this policy
If we change how any of this works, we will change this page and update the date at the top. If the change is significant and we have your email from a submission, we will tell you directly.
